The Vanhyning-Roerig house, built about 1803 as the centerpiece of the large Vanhyning Farm, remained in the family for more than a century. August and Isabelle Roerig purchased it in 1938, and it became the home of Ruth Weed Roerig in 1973. It was designated a Malta landmark in 1994.
