Homme Lake, or Homme Reservoir, is a man-made lake west of Park River, North Dakota, built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a small regional recreation area. Its waters support fish including walleye, crappie, and northern pike, as well as minnows such as fathead and creek chub. The reservoir reaches a maximum depth of 34 feet and averages about 10 feet deep. It was named for H. G. Homme, a Grafton real estate investor and business figure who strongly backed the project. The Corps still manages some surrounding land, while the city operates the facilities and land beyond the dam is used for hunting and picnicking.
