Men and women from Hazleton served in the armed forces during World War I from 1917 to 1918, World War II from 1941 to 1945, the Korean War from 1950 to 1955, and the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1975, and the tribute was gifted to the City of Hazleton and veterans of all wars by Mayor John Ford.
