The Greenly County Veterans Memorial honors those who served their country for freedom by recording a long roll of local veterans from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, and other periods of service, listing their names, dates, branches, ranks, and in some cases places of death or burial overseas, including those killed in action in places such as Iwo Jima, Germany, the Philippines, the Pacific, France, Italy, and Korea.
