St. Mary's Catholic Church was founded in 1876 to serve Poles settling in Bremond in that decade. The first church, built in 1879, has served as the parish school since 1908, the date of the present edifice. Fathers A. Krypajtis and I.J. Szymanski led construction of this Gothic structure, and parish members made sacrifices and contributed much labor to create a building of old-world charm. The font and sacred art came from the 1879 structure, and the settlers' heirs come yearly from far away to worship here.
