The Museum of Innovation and Science in Schenectady, New York, founded in 1934, is a science museum and planetarium focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Its Suits-Bueche Planetarium features a GOTO Chronos Star Machine, one of only 16 in the United States, capable of showing 8,500 stars, 24 constellation outlines, and skies from any point on Earth up to 100,000 years in the past or future. The museum also includes a Challenger Learning Center and extensive public archives of more than 1.5 million photographs, along with radios, televisions, patents, books, and films connected to Schenectady and General Electric.
