Malcolm Samuel Weaver was born June 5, 1918 in Center, Texas. He served as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II, where he met his wife, Constance Mary Stanley. He built custom homes and poultry houses throughout East Texas with Weaver Brothers Lumber Co. and the Village Builders. In 1966 he created Town and Country Real Estate. He was involved in many civic organizations, including serving as president of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, the Center Rotary Club, the Sons of the Republic of Texas Center Chapter, and the Shelby County Historical Society. He was also a member of the Farmers Bank Board for over fifty years and a life member of the First Christian Church. His love and respect for the people and development of East Texas was always foremost in his life.
