The Webster County War Memorial honors the men and women from Webster County who died in the military service of their country during World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict. It was erected in 1972 by patriotic citizens and veterans of Webster County, with the roster of names updated in 1986 and the original engraving work donated by Pete Kelly. It records those who died in World War II from Dec. 7, 1941 to Sept. 2, 1945; in World War I from Apr. 6, 1917 to Nov. 11, 1918; in the Korean Conflict from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953; and in the Vietnam Conflict from Aug. 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975.
