Towers in the Air

Tower Fall reflects the contrast between easily eroded rocks and rocks that resist erosion. The rock at the brink and beneath the waterfall is hard volcanic rock, while erosion at the base of the fall causes the waterfall to migrate upstream. Along Tower Creek, wind and water eroded softer rock over the centuries, leaving towers, pinnacles, and other striking shapes of hard rock.
