William H. Goettl, born April 17, 1915, and died September 17, 1979, restored Zane Grey's Cabin through his own sweat and love. Known as Bill, he was an Arizona outdoorsman, conversationalist, and pioneer in the air conditioning industry. A true man of the West, he was happiest on the open range. An invaluable citizen, he was loved and missed by family, friends, and colleagues, and his life could have been longer in years but never in quality.
