Echo Canyon preserves the memory of immigrants crossing the landscape with oxen pulling wagons through amber rock and sage, as women, children, and men forged their path into history with courage and fearlessness. The ground also holds traces left by Indians, trappers, the Pony Express, stagecoaches, outlaws, the railroad, and the telegraph, whose presence helped shape the world that followed.
