Belden
History
1
Belden was named after Susan Lee Belden, a Maidu Indian and the widow of miner and settler Charles Belden. By the early 1900s it was already a thriving township with a stop on the Western Pacific R.R., and it became a popular resort for Bay Area fishermen. Today Belden is a pleasant pause for travelers enjoying the scenic Feather River Highway.
