Right Reverend Monsignor Roger A. McGinley was remembered as a priest and patriot who, through teaching and example, raised the level of citizenship in Jersey City. He founded Saint Aedan’s Parish in 1912, served as its pastor for twenty-four years, and erected magnificent parochial buildings that enhanced the dignity and beauty of the neighborhood. The section became known as McGinley Square.
