Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, Pennsylvania, is a one hundred thirty-four-acre nature preserve, botanical garden, and accredited museum devoted to native plants and protected habitat. Established in 1934 and managed by a nonprofit association with state agencies, it occupies land tied to the American Revolutionary War, where George Washington’s army camped before the 1776 crossing of the Delaware River on the way to Trenton. Today it maintains more than 700 native Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley plant species in naturalistic woodlands, meadows, ponds, and along Pidcock Creek, with walking trails, bird-watching, and a conservation mission centered on education and appreciation of native plants.
