Stephen David Dube was born July 11, 1952, ordained May 13, 1978, and died September 14, 2006. He served as associate pastor of St. Paul Parish in Weirton from 1978 to 1980 and of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Weirton from 1980 to 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he was pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish in Harrisville and administrator of St. Patrick Parish in West Union. He was pastor of St. John Parish in St. Mary's from 1987 to 1993, pastor of St. Catherine Parish in Ronceverte and St. Louis Mission in Lewisburg from 1993 to 1996, and pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Weirton from 1996 to 2006. He served as chaplain of Madonna High School, oversaw construction of the parish center for St. Joseph Parish, served for many years as secretary of the Presbyteral Council, and was vicar of the Wheeling Deanery from 1997 to 2005. He left a pastoral mark on the Diocese and on the city of Weirton and was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed umpiring local basketball and refereeing football.
