Troop 110 began as the first Boy Scout unit in Perrysburg, Ohio, in 1921 and, in cooperation with multiple city officials and religious institutions, has maintained a high profile of public service throughout its history. Eagle Scout is the highest attainable rank within the Boy Scouts of America, and a rigorous final requirement for earning it is leading a service project to benefit the community as a whole. This project was managed by Alexander Klosterman, a resident of Perrysburg and member of Troop 110, and its stated beneficiary was the honor of the American Flag.
