Sipapu Bridge, a natural bridge spanning White Canyon in southeastern Utah’s Natural Bridges National Monument, is one of the monument’s best-known erosional stone bridges. Once reported by the National Park Service as having a 268-foot span, a 2007 laser survey revised the span to 255 feet, changing its standing among the world’s longest natural arches. By criteria specific to natural bridges, however, it remains one of the longest known examples. Visitors can view it from the road or by a short trail to the canyon base, making it notable as the longest natural arch with an active trail passing beneath it. Its Hopi-derived name refers to a symbolic portal of human emergence.
