ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden is a 36-acre botanical garden in Albuquerque, New Mexico, beside the Rio Grande. It features displays focused on plants of the Southwest and other dry-climate regions, with a 10,000-square-foot glass conservatory as a major attraction. One conservatory wing presents plants from Mediterranean-climate regions such as Spain, Portugal, Turkey, South Africa, Australia, Chile, and California, while the other highlights xeric plants from North American deserts. The grounds also interpret New Mexico habitats and medicinal plants and include a butterfly pavilion. Its design received the 2019 Architecture + Community Award from the New Mexico Architectural Foundation.
