Lincoln Trail State Park is a one thousand twenty-three-acre Illinois state park in Clark County, centered on the one hundred forty-six-acre Lincoln Trail Lake near Marshall. The state acquired the first thirty-one acres in 1936, and the park developed more fully in the nineteen fifties. Lincoln Trail Lake was created in 1955 and 1956 as the third Illinois lake built with federal funding under the Dingell-Johnson Act, and the park and lake were officially dedicated in 1958. The lake, with a maximum depth of forty-one feet, anchors the park’s recreation, including camping, hiking, fishing, and boating, with facilities that support seasonal and quieter lake use.
