In response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Kingsville, Texas, expressed profound sadness over the loss of life shared by Americans and freedom-loving people around the world, acknowledged the persistence of darkness and evil, and affirmed its belief that through the cross of Calvary those powers have been mortally wounded and will one day be destroyed, and until then pledged by the grace of God to place absolute hope and deepest trust in Jesus Christ, the light of the world.
