Emmett Dalton was born May 3, 1871, and died July 13, 1937. He married Julia A. Johnson Gilstrap Lewis on September 1, 1903. She was born March 5, 1870, and died May 20, 1943. The Dalton cabin formerly stood in the Blackjacks southeast of Dover and was the home of Adaline Dalton during the last 16 years of her life. The Daltons came to Oklahoma in 1890 and settled on a school quarter northeast of Kingfisher. Adaline was the mother of 13 children, and all but four were law-abiding citizens. She died in 1925 and was buried in Kingfisher Cemetery.
