This memorial is dedicated to the glory of God and to the memory of those who paid the supreme sacrifice in all the great wars. It also honors T. J. "Gannie" Martin as a soldier, service officer, humanitarian, and shining symbol of the American Legion, and Frank Powers as a soldier, service officer, citizen, and dedicated American Legionnaire who exemplified the highest traditions of Americanism and service to his fellowmen.
