Paul and Florence Watkins started construction of the Manor House in 1924, and it was completed in 1927. Paul, nephew of J.R. Watkins, founder of Watkins Products, became the company's second president in 1911. Paul and Florence traveled the world and purchased tapestries, paintings, sculptures, stained glass medallions, chandeliers, and many other objects of exceptional beauty, many of which remain in the mansion. The Tudor-style English manor includes a magnificent Great Hall that houses a Steinway Grand Piano and a rare Aeolian Organ. The landscaping of the Watkins Manor grounds was made possible by a generous donation from Watkins Products and Watkinsonline.
