The Santa Fe Trail route ran from 1822 to 1879. It was later recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution and the State of Colorado, and it also honors the faithful work of Harriett Parker Campbell in marking this historic highway while she served as State Regent from 1904 to 1908.
