The Cadet shipwreck is an underwater archaeological site in Lake George near Bolton, New York, where the Olive, formerly the Cadet, rests. This wooden steam launch was built in 1893 and measured 48 feet long and 9.6 feet wide, with a pointed bow. Submerged in about 50 feet of water, it was discovered in 1997 by Bateaux Below Inc. By 2005, the vessel was reported to be in fairly good condition, with most of its hull still intact. Its historical significance was formally recognized when the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
