Boone County Courthouse, designed by architect H. Russ Warne in Neo-Classical Revival style, opened in 1921 to replace the first brick courthouse. It features Indiana limestone, Beaux-Arts Classicism in a small open-domed belvedere, tetra-style two-story porticos with Corinthian columns, and Roman keystone arched windows. It houses records dating back to the 1847 formation of Boone County and was listed on the National Register in 1981.
