The ZCBJ Lodge Hall, built in 1907 by 45 charter members, stands as a tangible symbol of the ethnic heritage and the social, fraternal, and philosophical ideals of Czech immigrants who settled 7 miles north of Cadott. SOKOL, a gymnastic organization, performed at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. A unique artist-painted curtain depicting Karlstein Castle near Prague highlights the stage added in 1922 to serve an active drama and music group. Lovingly maintained, the hall continues as a bonding social center for loyal descendants preserving their heritage in America.
