During the Battle of Chattanooga from Nov. 23d to Nov. 27th, 1863, Union losses by division were recorded for Orchard Knob, Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge, and subsequent operations as far as Ringgold Gap, GA. Cruft's Division, 4th Corps, lost 1 officer and 20 enlisted killed, 11 officers and 112 enlisted wounded, and 2 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 146. Sheridan's Division, 4th Corps, lost 11 officers and 119 enlisted killed, 110 officers and 1103 enlisted wounded, and 3 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 1346. Wood's Division, 4th Corps, lost 15 officers and 133 enlisted killed, 57 officers and 821 enlisted wounded, and 9 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 1035. Steinwehr's Division, 11th Corps, lost 2 officers and 30 enlisted killed, 13 officers and 155 enlisted wounded, and 8 officers and 103 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 311. Schurz's Division, 11th Corps, lost 1 officer and 1 enlisted killed, 1 officer and 16 enlisted wounded, for an aggregate of 19. Geary's Division, 12th Corps, lost 6 officers and 49 enlisted killed, 34 officers and 252 enlisted wounded, for an aggregate of 341. Johnson's Division, 14th Corps, lost 4 officers and 46 enlisted killed, 23 officers and 248 enlisted wounded, and 2 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 323. Davis' Division, 14th Corps, lost 5 enlisted killed, 2 officers and 29 enlisted wounded, and 6 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 42. Baird's Division, 14th Corps, lost 9 officers and 79 enlisted killed, 30 officers and 442 enlisted wounded, and 6 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 566. Osterhaus' Division, 15th Corps, lost 6 officers and 46 enlisted killed, 39 officers and 298 enlisted wounded, and 4 officers and 39 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 432. M.L. Smith's Division, 15th Corps, lost 10 enlisted killed, 6 officers and 85 enlisted wounded, and 2 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 103. Ewing's Division, 15th Corps, lost 6 officers and 65 enlisted killed, 42 officers and 504 enlisted wounded, and 20 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 637. J.E. Smith's Division, 17th Corps, lost 8 officers and 81 enlisted killed, 25 officers and 264 enlisted wounded, and 15 officers and 130 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 523. In total, Union losses were 69 officers and 684 enlisted killed, 393 officers and 4329 enlisted wounded, and 27 officers and 322 enlisted missing, for an aggregate of 5824.
