Dardanelles Cone is a mountain peak in California’s Sierra Nevada, in the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness of the Stanislaus National Forest near Sonora Pass between State Route 4 and State Route 108. Formed from volcanic material millions of years ago, it differs sharply from the surrounding landscape. In an area defined by forest and more recently arrived granite, the peak stands out for its distinct geology and striking contrast with the terrain around it.
