Palma Sola Botanical Park in Bradenton, Florida, is a free public botanical garden that blends cultivated plant collections with a park-like landscape of rare palms, fruit and flowering trees, three lakes, a butterfly garden, a gazebo, and a pavilion. Its creation grew from a local effort to preserve the Manatee County palm nursery by transforming it into a botanical garden. After a nonprofit foundation formed in 1993, an agreement with Manatee County Government in 1996 established the park. It now operates jointly with the county parks department, and its origin as a rescued nursery continues to shape its civic identity and horticultural focus.
