Christiana North Jetty Light stood at the end of a jetty at the mouth of the Christina River near Wilmington, Delaware, marking the river entrance where the Christina met the approaches to the Delaware estuary and aiding navigation along a working waterfront. Built in 1884, it served until 1909, when the nearby Bellevue Range Lights assumed its navigational role. Although the light was retired, its dwelling continued as the keeper’s residence for the Bellevue Range Lights until 1937. The old lighthouse and dwelling were demolished in 1939, and the site remained only as a former light station.
