Heritage in Flight Museum is an aviation museum at Logan County Airport in Lincoln, Illinois. Founded in 1981 by Gerald Oliver Jr. at Capital Airport in Springfield, it began around plans to restore a B-25 from parts recovered in Alabama. A Bloomington chapter split off in 1983 to become the Prairie Aviation Museum. After securing a hangar lease in 1985, the organization became established at Logan County Airport. In 1987 it received a 2,000-square-foot World War II barracks building from Camp Ellis and renovated it. Its history also includes the 1991 helicopter delivery of an F-4B and later building upgrades supporting preservation of local aviation history.
