Sugar Pine Peak is an officially unnamed summit in the northern Sierra Nevada within California’s Plumas National Forest. Rising to about 4,828 feet on the Yuba–Sierra county line, it is identified as a mountain in the surrounding forested high country. Although the summit is in Sierra County, it stands close to Yuba County’s highest ground on nearby Stanford Mountain. Its winter snowfall reflects the peak’s mid-elevation setting in this part of the Sierra.
