William Bowman designed this building for Greeley’s Masonic Lodge in 1927. Greeley’s Occidental Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M. was established in November 1870, and the group met in various locations until this temple was built, including in the Greeley Opera House from 1913-1927. Interesting architectural features include the gable roof with a shaped parapet wall and the oculus window and pilasters (attached columns) on the east elevation. The City of Greeley Historic Preservation Commission placed this property on the Greeley Historic Register in 2002.
