Scheig Center Gardens is a 35-acre botanical garden and arboretum in Appleton Memorial Park in Appleton, Wisconsin, combining formal gardens and natural areas to showcase Wisconsin’s seasons and promote appreciation of native plants through education, protection, preservation, and propagation. Paved paths and trails link ponds, perennial plantings, three rose gardens, native wildflower gardens, a prairie, and a reforested area, while the central Scheig Center serves as a gathering venue. The site grew from a local conservation effort begun in 1992, later operated by Gardens of the Fox Cities, survived a financial crisis and closure in 2014, and reopened that year under its current name.
