Lucinda Horn, wife of Cornelius Horn and mother of William Horn, both members of Company K, 14th S.C. Volunteers, accompanied her husband and son to the front and remained with McGowan's Brigade during the hardest fighting of the war, nursing the wounded and dying. Her grave is at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.
