A tribute conceived by the Founders of Taffy III, Inc. in June 1999 was donated to the Port of San Diego on 25 October 2006 as a symbol of the military’s appreciation for Bob Hope, an Honorary Veteran, and his fellow entertainers. “Thanks for the Memory.” A time capsule contains the names of the thousands who contributed to this memorial, and the capsule was sealed on October 25, 2006.
