Established in 1821 by Richard Webster and in continuous use, Calvary United Methodist Church is a rare example of an early Methodist meeting house. Built of stone from a local quarry, it retains its original floor plan, including a slave gallery accessed by a separate entrance, as well as such features as pews, hardware, and later gas light fixtures.
