Apple Pie Hill is a prominent rise in Tabernacle Township, New Jersey, within Wharton State Forest and, at 205 feet above sea level, one of the highest points in the Pine Barrens. In this broad, flat region, even modest elevations stand out, and the hill is especially known for the 60-foot fire tower on its summit. From the top, visitors can look across the surrounding forest and, on clear days, see the distant skylines of Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Along the Batona Trail, it has also become a popular hiking destination. Its sandy and silt loam soils reflect the wider ecology of the Pine Barrens.
