The Bernon Worsted Mill was established in 1919 by Charles Augustus Proulx. Here French-Canadian workers manufactured French Process fine worsted yarns. The mill embodies the distinctive characteristics of early twentieth-century textile mill architecture and engineering in RI. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
