Bruce Phillips was a key contributor to the Ranch Plan's development team for nearly two decades, helping achieve Rancho Mission Viejo's vision of sustainable water management. Many sustainable water applications for stormwater and environmental stewardship along San Juan Creek were shaped by his ingenuity and passion. Across a 40-year civil engineering career, he dedicated himself to advancing the science and sustainability of watershed management as a college instructor, mentor, and leader in his field. Rancho Mission Viejo continues to benefit from his contributions through the natural beauty and function of the San Juan Creek watershed.
