Lippincott-Barton Farmhouse Site

About 1700, Samuel Lippincott took title to a large tract of land from the proprietors of South Jersey and developed the site with orchards and a cider mill. A large farmhouse was built about 1820 by John Lippincott in the late Georgian/Federal style. Barton, a local well known orchardist, bought the land from Lippincott heirs. The dwelling was destroyed by fire in 1998.
