The original structure of Mount Zion United Methodist Church was erected in 1883 on land donated by Reverand John Fields. In 1955, a growing congregation inspired the addition of classrooms and fellowship space. Final improvements in 1983 incorporated indoor restrooms and storage. It was dedicated in loving memory of Calvin Marion Shick, 1923-2007, a man of God, lifelong church member, devoted husband, father and friend.
