An Ansul dry chemical wheeled fire extinguisher used a potassium bicarbonate-based dry chemical with colorized additives and was the most effective dry chemical used to extinguish flammable or combustible liquid fires. The Folsom Prison Fire Department purchased the extinguisher in 1969.
