The Confederate Georgia volunteers included the Quitman Guards of Company K, 1st Regiment, Confederate Volunteers; Company A, 14th Regiment; the Monroe Crowders of Company D, 31st Regiment; the Monroe Volunteers of Company H, 32nd Regiment; the Rutland Volunteers of Company B, 45th Regiment; the McCowen Guards of Company D, 45th Regiment; and the Quitman Guards of Company K, 53rd Regiment.
