Lake Manawa State Park in Council Bluffs, Iowa, developed around Lake Manawa, a lake formed by Missouri River flooding in the late 1800s. The park serves as a major recreation area with camping, boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, and event space. Its campground includes 72 sites, some with electrical hookups, along with showers, restrooms, and a trailer dump station. Boat ramps, rentals near the beach, and lake access toward the Missouri River support heavy boating use, while anglers pursue crappies, bluegills, and catfish. A paved lakeshore trail also connects the park with broader regional trail networks.
