During World War II, the City of Somers Point honored its hero dead and paid homage to the memory of valiant residents who gave the last full measure of devotion to their country, naming James N. Chenoweth, H. Pual Clark, Edmond L. Eliason, Jr., Rudolph J. Farley, William H. Fehrle, Kenneth T. Kidd, and Delmar Leach, and dedicated this remembrance to the men and women of the city who devotedly served their country from 1941 to 1945.
