From July 16-24, 1969, Apollo 11 flew with the Command Module Columbia and the Lunar Module Eagle. The crew consisted of Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin. During the mission, Neil Armstrong declared, “Tranquility Base here. The eagle has landed.”
