Stanley Hot Springs is a remote group of thermal springs in Idaho County's Selway–Bitterroot Wilderness, reached from U.S. Route 12 east of Lowell by way of the Wilderness Gateway Campground and Trail #211. The geothermally heated water emerges at about 106 °F, or 41 °C. Access is defined as much by rugged wilderness conditions as by the springs themselves. After the winter of 1998–99, the bridge over Boulder Creek washed away and had not been rebuilt by 2021, leaving visitors to ford the creek and use a log jam and a rope-assisted log crossing. Access is usually best after spring runoff and before heavy snowfall.
