The Old Petersburg Toll House is Pennsylvania’s only hand-cut native stone toll house and authentically reflects the structure as it existed in 1835, when toll collection began. Its interior, with original flooring and period furnishings, conveys what domestic life was like for the toll collector and his family, whose annual salary was about $200.00 plus free living quarters.
